How to generate handwriting practice sheets

1. Choose Words & sentences for separate prompts or Class name sheets for a distinct page per student.
2. Type one short prompt or name on each line, or start with an editable example.
3. Choose ruling size, trace and writing rows, print font, paper size and guide color.
4. Use the preview arrows to inspect every page. Click Print / Save PDF for the full collection, or download an offline workbook.

Example: name tracing

Type “Emma” on its own line, choose Beginner guides, two tracing rows and one writing row. Students can trace the outline of the letter shapes before practicing unaided on blank ruling. If the student is ready for more independence, choose zero trace rows and two writing rows.

Example: a whole-class handwriting pack

Choose Class name sheets and paste each student's first name on a separate line, up to 32 names. The generator creates one page for each student and keeps the name in the heading. Print all pages together instead of generating every name individually.

Printable paper and letterform notes

Choose A4 or US Letter and match the page size and orientation in your printer's dialog. Select 100% / Actual size, turn off browser headers if necessary and check printer margins. Dotted outlines are boundaries around regular font glyphs, not single-stroke centerlines or verified stroke order. Letter appearance varies slightly across devices and fonts; always review the final print.

Free, private exports

The worksheet content is created on your own device; there is no paid PDF API, watermark or registration. The full workbook export is self-contained HTML you can open and print without the website. SVG saves editable vector artwork for one page; PNG saves a high-resolution snapshot of the selected page. Class files contain names and should be stored or shared carefully.
