How to use this tool
Choose an image, set a maximum width and desired output format, then process it on your device. JPG and WebP quality controls trade file size for visual detail; PNG is lossless.
Quick steps
- Select a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device.
- Choose the output format, maximum dimension and image quality.
- Convert the image and compare its new file size before downloading.
Practical tip
Start around 80% JPEG quality for web photos. For logos with transparent backgrounds, choose PNG or WebP. JPEG removes transparency.
Common questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The tool reads the images in your browser and uses the device canvas to create the download.
Can you compress PNG with the quality slider?
No. PNG canvas encoding is lossless; reducing dimensions often has the biggest impact.
Why can my converted file become larger?
A small original file or a lossless output format can produce a larger file. Check the before/after sizes.
